As a follow-up to Preserving Traditions, influenced by her memories of playing with her grandmother’s lipstick and the tradition of women wearing lipstick using their lips for expression, in this installation artist Caroline Rust captures some of the nuances of a woman’s pair of lips. As children playing with cosmetics is one thing, as we mature it becomes another. Yet as we evolve, let us not forget our vanishing femininity.
